  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Equipment

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the leftover fries in a large bowl and set aside.
    3 cups leftover fries
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes. Add the ground beef, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, approximately 7-8 minutes, breaking apart the meat with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
1/2 pound ground beef, 1 small onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. Add the cooked ground beef mixture directly over the bowl of fries, mixing gently to evenly distribute the savory filling with the crispy fries.
1/2 pound ground beef, 1 small onion, 2 cloves garlic
  4. Transfer the entire mixture into a baking dish, spreading it into an even layer. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
    1 cup cheddar cheese
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, golden around the edges, and bubbling.
  6. Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with optional toppings if desired and enjoy the crispy, cheesy comfort.
