Method
 

  1. Brew a strong shot of your favorite espresso or dark roast coffee, aiming for about 30 ml, until rich and aromatic.
  2. Heat 250 ml of milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, watching it closely until it begins steaming and is just about to bubble, releasing a warm, toasty aroma.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup into your mug, then pour the hot coffee over it. Stir vigorously until the syrup is fully incorporated and the mixture is glossy and smooth.
  4. Pour the steamed milk into the mug, holding back the foam with a spoon to keep the surface smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract, then taste and adjust, adding more if you prefer a stronger mint flavor.
  6. Top the drink with whipped cream for a luxurious finish, then sprinkle generously with crushed peppermint candies for a festive, crunchy touch.
